Tales of Skyealloland

 Back in 2017 I only had one fashion scale BJD - my new Creature Doll Guardian Phyllis. I took comparison photos of her and my traditional MSD - Blue Fairy Jasmine, and my unique MSD - Souldoll Souloid Iraki (now sold). I was so impressed with how she could pose, she really sent me on a spiral that would lead to so many more dolls like her in the years to come!

 In 2019 I only owned 3 fashion scale BJD, but took some interesting comparison photos that I'd like to share. The dolls in this comparison are: Doll Family-A MSD hybrid with Creature Doll Mei head, faceup by me (the human) Creature Doll Guardian Phyllis with company faceup Raccoondoll Elf Iris in Grey, faceup by me, old slim body.

 When I ordered my first iplehouse FID, I made sure to buy ALL the extra hands! In fact, I accidentally ordered two pairs of one set. I have no regrets! Here are photos showing off all the different sets:

  One of my favorite things to do in the BJD hobby is compare all the different kinds of dolls. For these photos, originally taken back in February 2021, I had 5 dolls to compare: Sideshow Collectibles Muse of Bone (blank) Raccoondoll Elf Iris in Grey on original slim body, with faceup by me. Iplehouse Aaliyah slim body small bust, with chest blushing and EID Aaliyah custom faceup Creature Doll Guardian Phyllis and Somnia Crawler Dolls Nara, the orc, with custom faceup by Somnia Crawler. Muse of Bone has super high heel feet, and sadly no flat feet option, so she is held up with a stand. The others all stand unaided, generally, although Somnia Crawler's knees are not as stable as the others so she, too, has a stand. I love how each body is unique. The Raccoondoll aesthetically is my least favorite, although it does pose really well. I understand there is a new slim body so I may get a new Raccoondoll in the future with the new body to see if I like it better. If there are othe...
